Reducing maintenance errorMaintenance activities are particularly vulnerable to human errors and violations. In maintenance, unlike many other tasks, a fault introduced into the system today through human error might have no effect for several months. However, when the effect is felt it may have significant safety and/or performance consequences.
Good management of maintenance and an understanding of the factors that affect the performance of those carrying out maintenance tasks can significantly reduce the risk of human error. DurationThis is a one or two day workshop (depending on depth of knowledge required), with many practical exercises.
Who should attend? This workshop has been developed for supervisors, line managers, trainers and assessors of maintenance personnel. It is also suitable for managers of activities that support maintenance production (e.g. engineering design, materials management) who would like to know more about the factors that provoke maintenance staff to make errors.
