Accident investigator training

Hazards exist in all workplaces and in most situations there are effective measures in place to control them. However, incidents and accidents do occasionally occur – indicating that  some of these controls are not as effective as they should be.
Learning lessons from accidents and incidents is vital to reduce losses to your organisation. Our range of workshops can help develop the skills and knowledge of your team to investigate incidents effectively.

The courses

All our courses can be tailored to your organisation, so that delegates are presented with familiar incidents, documents and language.
The courses include:
  • Accident Investigator (2 days)
  • Senior Accident Investigator (3 or 4 days)
  • Root cause analysis techniques (2 days)
  • Cognitive Interview Technique (1 day)

For rail and tram clients we also offer OTDR (also known as OTMR or event recorders) training for a range of systems.

Accidents and incidents are (fortunately) rare events, which can mean that there are few opportunities for practising the skills. We can provide focused refresher training to help investigators practise their skills and refresh their knowledge, or provide coaching to help them through their first investigation. See our investigator coaching section, or contact us using the form on the right.

Customised training - in your workplace

We can customise any of our training courses to address the specific issues faced by your industry or business. We will run the training at your workplace so you save on travel and accommodation costs.

Well planned, methodically conducted and a well-run event with a lot of learning outcomes.
