Handling difficult conversations

Some of the most difficult conversations we have take place in the workplace. These include conversations about performance, employee behaviour or pay. Over 80% of UK managers have never had training in how to handle these conversations, so it's no surprise that people go to extraordinary lengths to avoid them, or that the outcome is bad if the conversations do take place.
Our highly interactive training, using actors, allows participants to practise their skills in a safe environment.

Duration

This is a one day workshop.

Who should attend?

This workshop has been developed for line managers and front-line staff that may need to have a difficult conversation with a customer, employee, colleague or line manager.

What will you learn?

The main areas covered by this workshop are:
  • Practise deflecting and avoiding conflict
  • Learn and apply techniques for keeping calm under pressure
  • Apply flexing of communication style for different customers.
Customised training - in your workplace

We can customise any of our training courses to address the specific issues faced by your industry or business. We will run the training at your workplace so you save on travel and accommodation costs.
