TRAIN STEPBOARD
Having a clear distinction between changes in level are usually clearly marked, so that tripping accidents can be avoided. Not surprisingly, this train company had experienced several tripping accidents on and off trains at their underground stations.
The yellow line (on the platform) and the silver threshold strip (on the train) give the indication that one of these is the boundary between the train and the platform (a step down of about 300mm). The interface is actually where the arrow is pointing! |
